Join award-winning filmmaker Ken Burns for a special preview of his upcoming landmark film, THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION at 7pm ET on Wednesday, September 10th at the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY.  Ken Burns and co-director Sarah Botstein will present clips from the highly anticipated film and share stories from their 8-year journey to bring this dynamic and rich history to life.

“We’re very excited to join WMHT and everyone in the Capital Region to share an early look at The American Revolution,” said Ken Burns. “The Capital region is hugely important to our country’s founding and plays a major role in our upcoming film.”

THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, an Evening with Ken Burns is presented by WMHT Public Media. 

THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, a new six-part, 12-hour documentary series that explores the country’s founding struggle and its eight-year War for Independence, will premiere on Sunday, November 16 and air for six consecutive nights through Friday, November 21st at 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET on WMHT Public Media and PBS stations nationwide. The full series will be available to stream beginning Sunday, November 16 at wmht.org and for free on the PBS App.

The series was directed and produced by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein and David Schmidt and written by long-time collaborator Geoffrey C. Ward.
