WMHT Public Media Announces New Chief Advancement Officer

Troy, NY – WMHT Public Media, a multichannel public communications organization serving Eastern New York and Western New England, today announced the addition of Patrick Carpenter as vice president, chief advancement officer.

Most recently, Carpenter worked as senior director of development for New England Public Media (NEPM), where he supervised an 8-person team responsible for all fundraising efforts. In this capacity, he increased mid-level fundraising by 70% and major gifts by 30% in 2023.

Prior to joining NEPM, Carpenter held institutional advancement positions in higher education including roles with Holyoke Community College, Westfield State University, Boston College Law School and Elms College. He also serves in a volunteer capacity as the president of the Southampton Youth Athletic Association and recently served as Sponsor Liaison for the CASE District I Annual Conference Committee.

Carpenter holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Elms College in Chicopee, MA and earned his Master of Science in higher education administration from Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA.
