Close Encounters with Music has been presenting great chamber music, distinguished performers and insightful commentary in the Berkshires for 25 years now. Founded by artistic director and cellist Yehuda Hanani, the series is known for offering themed concerts that always share a point of view. They begin their 26th season this Saturday, October 21, at 6, with a concert called “The Titans: Schumann and Brahms Piano Quintets.” Peter Zazofsky spoke with us about the concert.
