Internationally acclaimed flutist Maxim Rubtsov has been called “miraculous,” “superb,” “absolutely impeccable” and “one of the best flutists of the Modern Age.” Principal flute for the Russian National Orchestra, he is also one of Russia’s best musical ambassadors. Saturday night, October 28, he performs at a Musical Salon in Old Chatham, a recreation of the Moscow Salons of the late 1800s. Rubtsov and pianist Sergei Kvitco spoke with us about the event.
