With their usual blend of inventiveness and adventure, the Musicians of Ma’alwyck bring a program called “American Dreams of Russia” to Schenectady on March 30 (with a free preview March 27 at noon at SCCC). Daniel Godfrey’s From a Dream of Russia for clarinet, violin and piano is paired with works by Glinka, Rick Sowash, Gliere and Maude Powell. Professional cinematographer/editor of PilotGirl Productions, Sonja Stark, has compiled a beautiful montage that will complement the Godfrey. Ann-Marie Barker Schwartz, violin,Paul Green, clarinet, and Noah Palmer, piano, visited the WMHT studios to perform some of the Godfrey and speak about the concert.
