Violinist Hyeyung Yoon has been searching to connect deeply with audiences since starting her professional career with the Chiara String Quartet almost 20 years ago. The Chiara String Quartet, lauded for their "highly virtuosic, edge-of-the-seat playing" (The Boston Globe), recently announced that 2017-18 will be its final concert season together. Luckily for us, they are coming to the Cooperstown Music Festival on Sunday, October 8 at 4pm as part of their last season together. They will perform Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in A minor, Op. 13, Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8 in C minor, Op. 110, and Britten’s Three Divertimenti and will be joined by flutist and festival artistic director Linda Chesis for Ginastera’s Impresiones de la Puna. Hyeyung Yoon previews that concert.
