The Cooperstown Summer Music Festival began with three events in 1999. Since then it has grown each year, offering Central New York audiences of all ages more than 100 performances, from classical to contemporary, jazz to bluegrass. They have a busy weekend coming up: concerts Friday and Sunday night at 7:30 and a Family concert Saturday morning at 11, all featuring the Jasper String Quartet plus special guests. The flutist and Festival Artistic Director Linda Chesis spoke about this weekend and the busy month ahead.
WMHT-FM will air a concert from last season’s Cooperstown Festival on WMHT Live on Sunday, August 20 at 6pm.
