Mixing new and unfamiliar with the great pillars of the chamber music repertoire, all while in the midst of pristine woods just outside of Woodstock. Sounds great, doesn’t it? Maverick Concerts begins their second century of Music in the Woods on Friday, June 23. But there are pre-season concerts this weekend. Saturday, 6/17, at 7, and Sunday, 6/18, at 4, Woodstock’s Award winning chorus Ars Choralis performs Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass and more. Alexander Platt, the Artistic Director of Maverick Concerts, spoke earlier about the season.
