Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem premiered in 1962 at the consecration of Coventry Cathedral in England, 22 years after the Cathedral’s destruction during WW2. As part of the ongoing celebrations marking the Armistice Centennial, the Albany Symphony, Albany Pro Musica, the Cathedral of All Saints Boychoir and soloists will bring this searing work to Proctors Theater in Schenectady. David Alan Miller, who will conduct the performance, stopped by to tell us a bit about the work.
