GUESTS: Martin S. Farber, MD, Ph.D., has been an attending rheumatologist at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital since 1984. He was also appointed an attending physician in medicine and rheumatology at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady and served as chief of the hospital's section of rheumatology in 1986. Since 1995, he has served as chief of the Rheumatology Department at St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady, where he has been an attending physician in internal medicine since 1984. Dr. Farber is a graduate of Columbia College in New York City, where he earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry. A clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the Albany Medical College in Albany, NY, he completed his medical degree in 1979 at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, where he simultaneously earned a doctorate in cell biology. He completed internship training in medicine at Boston City Hospital from 1979-1982 and received fellowship training in rheumatology at University Hospital, also in Boston, from 1982-84. Patricia A. Fennell, M.S.W., C.S.W.-R., is the CEO of Albany Health Management, Inc. a multi-task organization which examines emerging global health care concerns, and serves as a doctoral research and clinical practicum for the State University of New York at Albany. AHMA provides treatment and management for the chronically ill, consulting and education for their employers, professional training for counseling and medical clinicians, and collaborative research for the scientific community here in the U.S. and abroad. Pat lectures and teaches throughout the U.S. utilizing her empirically validated and replicated Four Phase Theory and it's applications. She is the author of several scholarly and trade publications; her two most recent professional books will be released by Wiley Publishers this year. Pat has received numerous professional and community honors and serves on the boards of several medical and professional organizations including the editorial board of the Journal of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, the Board of Directors of the International Association of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, the Advisory Board of The National Fibromyalgia Association), and recently was nominated to serve on the Chronic Fatigue Syndrom Advisory Committee to the US Secretary of Health Web Resources
