As life expectancies have increased, so has the likelihood of living to an age at which disabling illness will occur. And the cost of long-term care, whether at home, in an assisted living facility or in a nursing home, can be very expensive. For some people long-term care insurance may be the answer. This program will offer some advice to help you determine if long-term care insurance is right for you. Mr. Sestito works with individuals, financial institutions, attorneys, financial planners and other insurance agents to assist them in educating their clients as to the importance of proper planning for long-term care. He also holds regular workshops to help educate the public about the risk of not having adequate long-term care insurance. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Estate Planning Council of Eastern New York, Inc., the Capital Area Consortium on Aging and Disability, McAuley Living Services and Senior Services of Albany, Inc. Mr. Pierro is a contributing author to various publications on the topics of Estate Planning, Estate and Gift Taxation and Elder Law for the New York State Bar Association. He recently co-authored Healthcare Without Medicare, a new practice manual for community-based care management.
