Health Link Special Edition 403
Adult Children with Special Needs
Airs: Thursday, August 30, 2007 9-10pm ET

How do you help adult children with special needs live safe, full lives? What services are available and what choices do parents have when their children age out of programs aimed at young children? This is a key issue for thousands of Americans as more than 10 percent of U.S. households have children with special needs.  While there are myriad programs for young children, what happens when they outgrow that support system?

Join Benita Zahn for a special 1 hour call-in edition of Health Link as we examine the transition to adulthood. We will also discuss what parents need to know about future planning.
